ALMOST ONE!!!

EEEKKK!! Our son turns one on monday, its saturday!! yikes!! He is sooo big and walking! He is everywhere and into everything...he is ALL boy! he tumbles, rolls, and throws a ball, and he LOVES to dance. He watches Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and helps empty the dishwasher. Like i said he is just one grown little boy.

Having nieces before hand has not prepared me for my son, but i LOVE all the surprises he brings. His laugh is addictive and you just want to see him smile because it shows off his 8 teeth. He falls and gets his bumps and bruises but he is one tough cookie!! He sleeps thru the night and i enjoy every bit of it. He is just our joy and reason for smiling and thinking everything that may be hard right now. I love being a mommy and i cannot wait for what else is in store!!!

Crawling, moving forward and good things!!

So Brayden is 7 months almost 8 and he is crawling like no one's business...he LOVES to pull up on everything and stand. He may get to brave for when he stands he lets go with both hands and most often falls if no one is there to help him. He is one crazy kid, he also has 3 teeth about to get a 4th and is cranky at night. He doesnt sleep as well as he used to but its A-OK. Mommy adjusts to it.

As for Joshua, he has a part-time job with Delta which he starts tomorrow and we hope this is a great oppurtunity for him to go to school which he also got accepted into in August to start school in October (fall) semester from Griffin Tech now name Southern Cresent. We hope to move out into our own apartment or home soon. HOPEFULLY!

We have waited a long time for this and we hope it will give us the opportunities we need to be on our own again.

Life is great and moving in a forward motion, which i love. I have also begun to do crafts which i hope to sell, and work on my children's books when i have time, like when Brayden naps. :D I want to attend an online school and have been looking into that these days but for right now i enjoy what i do, stay home with Brayden, for each day with him is a BLESSING!!

I love Brayden and Josh so much, they are my family, where my home and heart lie!!!

My half year old!!!!

Brayden is 6 months old and is a handful already. He rolls and scoots to where he wants to go and what trouble he wants to get into. He is a little ball of energy. He has started to try applesauce, fruit puffs and cherrios. His first tooth has also broken through and so he has a little white tip popping through his gums. YAY!! HE ALSO sleeps for 7 hours solid throughout the night another YAY!! As you can tell he is mommies little monster. He weighs about 19lbs and is about to outgrow his 6 month clothing...he just keeps growing and keeping my life interesting and constantly moving. I LOVE IT!!!

5 months and counting!!

So Brayden is now 5 months old almost 6 and he is such a sweet spirit. He smiles sooo much and makes Josh and I so thankful to have him apart of our lives and family. His little personality is so genuine already and all his own. He has a smile that captures everyones attention in the room, grocery store, church, etc.. He has a laugh that is SO contagious that you make him laugh by your laugh. His eyes take in the world around him, he can even tell when mommy comes in and walks back out of the room, he can tell when daddy comes home, and he loves to watch the dogs play. He has accomplished rolling from back to tummy and tummy to back, he can sit up with out much assistance and he is in LOVE with his Johnny Jump Up (it hangs in the doorway and he just jumps from anywhere from 20 mins to an hour). As we get into the summer he and I are in a mommy and me tadpole class, he is great! I dunked him under and he didnt cry like all the other babies..hes my tough little man. Another thing that makes him tough is on his last shots he didnt cry he let out a small whine but shortly stopped and continued to chew on his passy. Daddy and i seem to think he is teething due to his irritability sometimes, his drooling, putting everything in his mouth and the way he just wakes up at night for no reason. poor baby...hope his teeth come in soon, but he is just like his dad. Mom Trish or Nana says Josh started to teeth at about 4 months as well, so...thats a daddy thing not a mommy thing...:) but life goes on and i glad that i get to stay home with him. Josh is working for Mr. Turf and loving it! Life is good and we are blessed with a job, our families that live close and help us out and with our son!!!!!

TWO MONTHS!

Brayden is now two months old and we can already see his lil' personality beaming from him. He has been such a joy. He loves to sit and stare at daddy, because daddy can make him smile the biggest (we think its because Josh looks funny to him...:D he he he). He loves to sit with mommy and watch her make funny faces...he LOVES bath time and loves to look at the dogs and the olympics. One of his favorite things to do is dance!! He just loves to SMILE and he is such a HAPPY baby.

We are living with my parents still while Josh is trying to apply for jobs with police departments around and close by. We are waiting to hear good news and are getting help from neighbors, friends and family. We hope that something comes along soon! :D

Our new arrival!!!

Okay, so since we were planning on moving right after the first of the year and Brayden's due date not until December 30th, we were afraid he wouldn't come in time because Josh was getting out of the army on the 1st of January. We prayed long and hard that our little boy would make his debut early. On December 19th we got our wish and our prayers had been answered.

I was sitting down to eat a nice bowl of soup for dinner at around 7pm. As i sat down to blow on my hot soup on the couch and watch "Christmas with the Kranks" i felt this hard punch which felt like Brayden had kicked me in the bladder. I instantly felt sick and i stood up to go put my soup back in the pot to put it into the fridge...when..POP! my water broke. Not a fun experience. It took me a minute but i did manage to get to the bathroom and call to Josh in the living room. He began to rush around like a mad person grabbing bags, putting the dogs in their crates and calling everyone in the families to let them know. We went to the hospital around 8 and i was admitted right away when they could see that my water had indeed broken. I was having only minor contractions at the time and they did not seem to get a little worse until about 1am. That was when my nurse gave me Finigran(however u spell it) and that knocked me out within 3 mins. I slept for about 3 hrs and woke up to the pain of contractions. They gave me more pain meds to take the edge off for the next 4 hrs. I received anitbiotics around 6am and around 9:30am i was getting contractions consistantly...I was having one big one then two little ones..so i was NEVER getting a break from the pain. When i asked for my epidural my midwife said..."oh yea, mommy is no longer smiling, we will call him right away!" I got my epidural, which was a gift from God and i spent the next few hours trying to sleep and chill. Needless to say i was tired, i had only slept for about 4-5 hours all together and around 3:30pm i started to feel the pressure of Brayden wanting to come out. My nurse came in, which by the way she was the best nurse i could have asked for, she was so friendly and talkative i felt very comfortable with her. I pushed for an hour and half because Brayden's head was stuck on my pelvic bone. Finally at 5:24pm he was born, i got to pull him out and on to my tummy, then i cried hysterically but with relief and joy. Josh was with me every step of the way. He was my support and my coach as he kept telling me to push and that i was almost there...when Brayden was born needless to say we were both in tears.

Our little man was born at 6lbs 15oz and was at the time 22inches long ( due to his head being stuck in the cone position, it rounded out nicely and he is now 20.5inches) He did have a hard time breathing when he first came out and so they took him to the NICU where Josh went with him for comfort and to check on him and take pics for me.

WE are SO HAPPY he is HERE with US!!

we are now in the process of moving back to GA and could not be more excited to be moving back and to be bringing HOME our little Brayden to show off and brag about!!
